At Afaf Translations, we believe in giving back. We have a strong conviction that as society expands into a global network through communication; we should also expand into a global community by working together to make the world a better place for everyone. This is why we donate to several important causes around the globe.
Afaf Translations is currently donating funds and translation services to Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 in Cairo, Egypt. This organization, which was awarded the WHO’s UAE Health Foundation Award in 2008, provides free, high-quality care to children with cancer regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status. They also conduct extensive research in several fields including pediatric cancer, epidemiology, molecular biology, pathology, and pharmaco-kinetics, and promote cancer awareness and environmental health in the community.
We are also currently donating funds to the Aswan Heart Centre in Aswan, Egypt. This center is a part of the Madgi Yacoub Heart Foundation, and provides free, high-standard medical services to the Egyptian people. The Centre aims to decrease the rate of cardiovascular disease in Egypt through promoting and conducting biomedical research, training a new generation of Egyptian doctors, and making quality care available to underprivileged populations.
Finally, we are supporters of the United Spinal Association based in Milford, New Hampshire, which is dedicated to preventing spinal injuries and helping those with spinal injuries and diseases.
